



Organized by the Yangon Region Tourism Committee and under the supervision of the Department of Hotels and Tourism, Yangon Region Office, the opening ceremony for four hotel service training courses was held at the Yangon International Hotel Ballroom on June 2nd.
First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, delivered an opening speech. He stated that as Yangon Region is the economic capital of the country with major industrial zones, this training is aimed to create job opportunities. He also mentioned that the training will be conducted by qualified and experienced trainers from the Myanmar Hospitality Professionals Association (MHPA), who hold ASEAN National Trainer certificates. The lessons will follow the official curriculum set by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and will include both theoretical and practical components. Then, a group photo was taken to commemorate the event.
The training courses will be attended by a total of 139 trainees including 37 in Front Office Training, 37 in Housekeeping Training, 37 in Food & Beverage Service Training and 30 in Food & Beverage Production Training, it’s reported.
