Honouring Ceremony: Students Sports Festival outstanding athletes honoured

Tainintharyi Region Government honoured outstanding athletes who participated in the 2022-2023 academic year Basic Education Students Sports Festival held in Nay Pyi Taw.

During this honouring ceremony at the regional government office in Dawei, Chief Minister U Myat Ko praised the hard work and support of the Department of Sports and Physical Education, management of team officials and coaches and hard work and dedication of the athletes.

As the success in sports is related to the prestige of the region, it is necessary for the athletes to maintain the successes achieved and to raise the prestige of the region with more successes in the years to come. Over 7 million Kyats of cash award was presented to these outstanding athletes who grabbed 11 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 6 bronze medals in the 2022-2023 academic year Basic Education Students Sports Festival.
