Honoring ceremony : Yangon Region CM attended the ceremony

The grand ceremony to honor the 80th Years Emerald Jubilee and the conferment of the Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru title upon the Venerable Dr. Bhaddanta Kumara Maha Thera, Presiding Sayadawgyi of the Maha Thein-Daw-Gyi Pariyatti Monastery and Rector of the State Pariyatti Sasana University (Yangon) was held on 27th April at the Maha Thein-Daw-Gyi Pariyatti  Monastery, located on Maha Bandula Road, in the Pabedan Township of Yangon Region. 

The ceremony commenced with the congregation undertaking the Five Precepts from the Presiding Sayadawgyi of the Maha Thein-Daw-Gyi Pariyatti Monastery.

Following that, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein presented the honorary religious title of Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru to the Venerable Sayadawgyi, along with cash donation and the offertories.

Next, a devotional song composed in honor to the Presiding Sayadawgyi of the Maha Thein-Daw-Gyi Pariyatti Monastery by the Abbot of Aung Zeya Pariyatti Monastery in Bago was sung by vocalist Haywan Nan Continuing the proceedings, the members of the Board of Trustee of Maha Thein-Daw-Gyi Pariyatti Monastery made a donation in honor of the Venerable Sayadawgyi. Additionally, cash donations collectively donated by donors and various departments at the district and township level of Kyauktada District were presented by the Chairman of the Kyauktada District Administrative Body.

After that, a lyric poem song composed by Thone Gwa Sayar Nyo was performed by singer Khaing Zin Shwe, a lecturer at the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon). Another song composed by Dr. Ashin Ukkatha was also performed by vocalist Haywan Nan.

The ceremony concluded with taking sermon delivered by Gon Daw Pathan Monastery (Waw) in North Okkalapa Township and sharing merits gained.
