Hong Kong stock market jumpHKong markets jump as world markets rise

Hong Kong stocks jumped in a massive rally Wednesday, riding on market rises around the world.

The benchmark Hang Seng index ended up more than five per cent, at 18,087 points.

This is just days after the Hang Seng plumbed its lowest in eleven years last week. Hong Kong's stock exchange was closed Tuesday for a public holiday. Markets in mainland China remain closed for this week's national day holiday.
