Historical Significance : Commemorative bronze plaque installation ceremony

A commemorative bronze plaque installation ceremony was held at 126-year old Goteik Viaduct in Naungcho Township, Shan State (North) on Friday morning.

Union Minister for Hotels, Tourism and Culture U Maung Myint attended the ceremony and delivered opening remarks. The Union Minister expressed his delight on the occasion and stated that a total of 3 bronze plaques and information signboards will be installed at the viaduct.

Highlighting the ongoing conservation measures, the Union Minister called for the concerted efforts of the relevant departments to ensure the long-term resilience of the ancient viaduct, renowned for its historical significant and longstanding role as a vital transportation link. Then, the Union Minister and officals unveiled the plaque and made a tour along the viaduct.
