Helicopter carrying injured from quake-affected region landed at Afghanistan airport on Tuesday after a strong 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan on Sunday.

As of Tuesday, the government said the earthquake killed 1,411 people and others 3,124 injured, making it one of the deadliest to hit the country in decades. The earthquake hit the country, devastating remote areas in mountainous provinces near the border with Pakistan.
