







The 50th Myanmar Health Research Congress in Yangon concluded on Friday, focusing on the title "Overcoming challenges in COVID-19 vaccination".
Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win attended this final day of the Congress, discussing the Overview of COVID-19 vaccine Deployment in Myanmar, Epidemiological Perspective, Operational Challenges at Central Level and Challenges for the basic health staff at the township level for COVID-19 vaccination.
The 5-day Congress which began on the 21st of February was joined by about 400 researchers from local and foreign, including experts from the Republic of Korea and the Philippines. The Congress included 69 research papers and 27 research posters.
On this final day, the best, 2nd and 3rd Basic Research prizes, the best Applied Research prize, the best, 2nd and 3rd Health Systems Research prizes, the best, 2nd and 3rd poster prizes as well as the best young applied researcher prize and the best young health systems researcher prize were awarded.
