In response, a demonstration of summer paddy planting using hand-held rice transplanters was held on April 29 at Field No. 60 in PhaYaNgaHsu Village, Taunggyi Township.
At the demonstration, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung emphasized the importance of adopting technical methods and seeking guidance from agricultural experts. He stated that the event aimed to showcase practical planting techniques to benefit local farmers.
Following this, the Shan State Director of the Agriculture Department explained the objectives of using hand-held rice transplanters for summer paddy cultivation, while the State Director of Mechanized Agriculture highlighted the benefits of mechanized farming.
Additionally, Chief Minister U Aung Aung, along with the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs and other officials, distributed urea fertilizers to farmers. A farmer representative expressed gratitude, after which the Chief Minister coordinated with relevant departments to address farmers' needs.
