Friendly Discussion: Meeting with BRICS WBA Chairperson

Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the wife of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held a meeting with Ms Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance on May 8.

They cordially exchanged views on participation of women from government and business realms in the BRICS Forum to be held soon, running of the branches of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance in global countries and potential for opening its branch in Myanmar.

They also discussed the role of women in the global issues, women empowerment for effective implementation of social measures, enhancement of women’s entrepreneurship, and further cooperation in education and women’s affairs between the two countries. In the afternoon, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party visited the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.

Curators conducted them round the gallery and replied to questions raised by the wife of the Senior General. The Gallery is one of the most prominent and world-renowned exhibitions, showcasing the artistic and cultural development of the Russian people. It provides visitors to witness the uniqueness of Russian traditions, customs, attitudes, historical heritage, and the excellence of fine arts.
