






The fresher welcoming ceremony of University for Computer Studies (Taunggyi) for 2022-2023 academic year was held in conjunction with prize awarding and the project show at the University on 2nd February.
At the event, students from the University for Computer Studies (Taunggyi) entertained with the song “Mya Kyun Nyo Nyo”. At the fresher welcoming ceremony, member of the State Administration Council Dr Kyaw Tun said that the University for Computer Studies (Taunggyi) was opened as the Government Computer College on 15th August 2000 and the training courses were started to conduct on 4th September 2000.
The Government Computer College was upgraded as the university on 20th January 2007 and now it has been 23 years. The University produced about 1,413 Bachelor degree holders in Computer Studies and Computer Technology, and Postgraduate computer diploma and master's degree holders and about 475 students are pursuing education in the current academic year.
Later, SAC member Dr Kyaw Tun presented 1 million kyats cash assistance provided by the Shan State Government for the fresher welcome ceremony, prize distribution and the project show. The SAC member, the Chief Justice of the State High Court and the State Ministers presented prizes to outstanding students in the respective courses. Later, students from University for Computer Studies (Taunggyi) entertained with Shan traditional dances. The SAC member and party then viewed around the booths of project show displayed at the hall.
