Fresher Welcome: 267 students attend at UFES in 2022-2023 academic year

A fresher welcoming ceremony of the University of Forestry and Environmental Science for 2022-2023 academic year was held at the university on Friday.

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation attended the ceremony and made a speech. He said the university level education for forestry commenced in 1923 and this year reached 100th anniversary.

As of 2021-2022 fiscal year, over 3,000 graduates have been turned out from the university, and there are also master degree and doctorate degree holders who continued their studies in local and international universities.

He urged the new students to make efforts to reach their goals, abiding by the admonishments of the teachers. A total of 267 students of first year to fifth year classes are attending at the University of Forestry and Environmental Science in 2022-2023 academic year.
