First China-Europe Freight Train Since Lockdown Departs from Shanghai

The First China-Europe freight train "Shanghai Express" loaded with cargo departed from Shanghai Minhang Station on Sunday afternoon since the city’s lockdown, and it is expected to arrive at Rostov Oblast, Russia.

Since its launch on September 28 last year, the train has covered routes such as China to Europe, China to Central Asia, and etc.

Among them, the exports are mainly on the China-Russia and China-Europe lines, and the goods are mostly clothing, electronic products, and small commodities; and for the return journey, freight train coming back from Russia were mainly loaded with wood, pulp, paper rolls, etc.

At present, with the progress of the resumption of work and production, the train will also run at full capacity. The number of China-Europe freight train will return to the 4 per month and is expected to increase later.
