






Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of National Natural Disaster Management Committee, Vice Senior General Soe Win, together with Union Ministers, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, and committee members, conducted field inspections on May 26, to assess the status of repair works being carried out on ministry buildings, staff housing, and dormitories.
First, the Vice Chairman and officials arrived at the Ministry of Energy, where responsible personnel briefed them in the meeting hall on the damage sustained by office buildings due to the earthquake, the establishment of temporary offices using prefabricated units, the ongoing operations in those temporary setups, and the installation status of modular houses for temporary staff accommodation.
The Deputy Prime Minister gave necessary instructions and proceeded to inspect the Union Minister’s office building and the Myanmar Oil and Natural Gas Enterprise’s office, examining the extent of the damage and the progress of repair efforts. Subsequently, the Vice Chairman and officials visited several locations in Zabuthiri Township, including apartment No. 6209 in Thukha Thiddi Ward, marked suitable for reoccupation (indicated by a blue sticker), apartment No. 3107 in Nyanathiddi Ward, and Thazin-2 Women’s Dormitory (5), and Thazin-5 Men’s Dormitory (11).
They inspected the extent of damage caused by the earthquake and the ongoing restoration works at these sites. The SAC Vice Chairman gave necessary instructions and coordinated with the responsible officials during the inspections.
