Field inspection tour: Kachin State CM made field inspection tour

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htain Nan and officials on 22nd June made inspection tours at HoeLaw and RawankaHtaung villages, Waimaw township of Kachin State where some erosions of riverbanks occured after rising the water level of Ayeyarwady river due to the torriential rain during May and first week of June.

At the site, the Chief Minister coordinated to build retaining wall made with banboo-grid along the riverbank rapidly to prevent damages if the water level rises during rainy season, since rock-filled retaining wall will be built in opened season due to the procedure.

Next, the Chief Minister and party arrived at MaDain 100-Acre Model plantation conducted by State Fund where they met with official and inspected the field. The Chief Minister and officials proceeded to MyitKyiNa and inspected along the bank of the Myitkyina and Waimaw through Balaminhtin bridge and instructed to ensure the preparatory measures for the flood.
