Festive Celebration : Preparations for 2026 Thingyan Festival in Myitkyina

Preparations are underway for the 2026 Myanmar Traditional Thingyan Festival in Myitkyina. On Saturday. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan reviewed the construction of the central pandal and walking Thingyan area along the main road.

They also oversaw the rehearsals by dance groups and preparations by government offices and local communities. The Chief Minister also inspected decorations such as umbrellas, flowers, and water-splashing arrangements for the public, and instructed to complete preparations on time and ensure a successful and festive celebration.
