Farming Industry: Farm Equipment Provided To Farmers For Convenient Works

Myittha Township Agricultural Mechanization Department is providing farm equipment to the farmers for convenience of agricultural works.

For the monsoon cultivation season, the department provides assistance for land preparation and ploughing while distributing the farming equipment and providing the maintenance services.

The department provided 25 tractors and 9 harvesters for timely undertaking of works for the farmers, using less manpower.

Head, Myittha Township Agricultural Mechanization Department, Kyaw Lwin said “We provide necessary assistance for the farmers to ease their difficulties during the time of COVID-19 outbreak. We also collect the list of equipment owned by the farmers so as to provide to the needy places.”

Moreover, the department also provides farm equipment maintenance service without any charge.

Head, Myittha Township Agricultural Mechanization Department, Kyaw Lwin said “We open mechanical workshop for the farmers to get maintenance services for their equipment free of charge at any convenient time. We also assist for purchasing the equipment from the private companies. Our staff also make site visits down to the village to provide necessary assistance.”

It is learnt that the department conducts trainings for farm equipment maintenance services, and assist the families of farmers to join the mechanical trainings opened at Meikhtila, Nay Pyi Taw and Bago (PhaYarGyi).
