EU to hold summit on key issues including Ukraine, Middle East

The European Union is preparing to hold a two-day summit in Brussels from June 18 to 19. The European Council leaders are discussing the internal issues for Ukraine, developments across the Middle East, the upcoming 2028–2034 long-term budget, and broader European defense and security.

Leaders will also discuss long-term financial support for Ukraine and the official opening of the first cluster of accession negotiation chapters for Ukraine and Moldova. The agenda also features discussions on European competitiveness, global economic challenges, migration management, and organized crime.
