Ethnicity Affairs: Meeting with the staff in Chin State

Member of the SAC Dr Hmu Htan and Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung who are currently in Hakha, Chin State held meeting with the staff who are taking duties at the Chin State Directorate Office of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and gave guidance on 21st February.

At the meeting, SAC member Dr Hmu Htan said that it needs to strengthen more national solidarity in Chin State and through the national unity, progress will be made the entire nation. It is necessary to live to prevent hatred among the ethnic people and every religion emphasizes love.

He called for the staffs to serve the duties happily and unity with the staffs from other departments while in Chin State. Later, the staff introduced individually and officials of the Department of Ethnic Literature and Culture and the Department of Protection of Ethnic Rights reported on undertaking the tasks. Chin State Ethnic Affairs Minister U Sein Tun Hla explained about ethnic affairs and progress of works.

Later, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung called for taking the duties responsibly in the respective sectors while understanding the national work programs adopted by the state, using the state funds in line with financial rules and regulations and directives, taking care of the welfare of the staff and their health.

Later, SAC member Dr Hmu Htan and the Union Minister presented cash assistance for the Ethnic Literature and Cultural troupes in Chin State to promote literature and cultural affairs and development.
