Ethnic Affairs: New Union Minister meets with employees

Leader of the State Administration Council’s Central Advisory Board U Saw Tun Aung Myint and the new Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phan Naw Taung held a meeting with officials and staff of the Ministry.

In the meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday afternoon, Leader of the State Administration Council’s Central Advisory Board U Saw Tun Aung Myint said that he has handed over the duty of Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs to Jeng Phan Naw Taung.

He also urged the attendees to abide by the rules and regulations, live in accordance with the legal framework and to be freed from party politics. As ethnic unity is important, the officials and staff must be united as a model, he added. Also, the new Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phan Naw Taung stressed that the employees must work hard to achieve the goals of the ministry.

He also urged the employees to pay special attention to the 5-point road map and 9 objectives of the State Administration Council. Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung also called for efforts for successful implementation of the Ministry’s tasks under the guidance of the Union Minister.
