






Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint and Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung inspected the Director office of Mandalay region under the Ministry on 2nd March and met with ethnic literature and culture associations.
On arrival at the Director office of Mandalay, the Union Minister met with the staffs. At the meeting, the Union Minister said that as our country is a union where all ethnic nationalities live together, it is important to be united by all ethnic people. Development will be achieved only with unity. Peace can only be built through development.
Therefore, all need to cooperate in the peace building processes. He also stressed on adhering the guidance of Head of State, systematic use of funding, following COVID-19 rules and regulations, cooperating in Pan Khin project, measures for fire safety and preparatory measures for natural disasters.
The Deputy Minister gave necessary instructions. The Union Minster and party then looked into fencing brick wall, drainage system and maintenance of office building. At the Mandalay Region government office, the Union Minister met with ethnic literature and culture associations. He said TA/LA teachers for respective subjects, protections of the rights of ethnic people in the Constitution and the authorities of Ethnic Affairs Ministers.
The Deputy Then, the deputy minister coordinated the discussion. Mandalay Region Ethic Affairs Minister reported on formation of ethnic literature and culture associations in the region and its aims and objectives.
Officials of the Ethic Literature and Cultural troupes reported on preservation of literature and culture by respective groups and preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The Union Minister then presented 400,000 kyats to each literature and culture troupes for promoting preservation of intangible cultural heritages.
