Ethnic Affairs: Ethnic literature books distributed

A ceremony to hand over ethnic literature books published by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs for the 2026–2027 fiscal year was held at the Kachin State Government Office on Wednesday. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said over 92,000 books had already been distributed since 2019, and another 38,731 books will be shared this year.

Leaders of ethnic literature and cultural associations received books in their own languages, including Jinghpaw, Lachid , Lhaovo, Lisu, Rawang, Zaiwa , Tai Lai , and Tainkhamti . Officials explained the purpose of the program, and representatives of the associations expressed thanks for the support.
