Ethnic Affairs: Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Centre in Taunggyi

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung, accompanied by senior officials, inspected the Shan State Center for Vocational Training and Ethnic Community Affairs in Ayethaya of Taunggyi Township on Thursday.

The Union Minister inspected the workshops, dining hall, training rooms, and dormitories, and gave necessary instructions. He later met with staff and urged them to complete work on schedule, use state funds economically and in accordance with financial procedures, prioritize security, and work together in unity.

He also observed and encouraged Shan State’s ethnic youth contestants undergoing training for the 27th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition 2026 and presented them with cash awards.
