The 2026 third state-level monsoon tree-planting ceremony was held in Nay Pyi Taw Deckhinathiri Township on Saturday. President U Min Aung Hlaing attended the event and made a speech.

He later planted Gantgaw saplings at the designated location, followed by the planting of trees by the attendees. The State has been encouraging annual tree planting as a national responsibility. During this year’s monsoon season, a total of 21.37 million trees, including trees planted in State-owned forest plantations, have been established nationwide.

At the 2026 third state-level monsoon tree-planting ceremony, 3,000 saplings comprising 10 tree species which provide shade and produce colourful seasonal flowers and three ornamental flowering species, were planted.
