Electrification: Dy Minister makes inspection in Thandwe Township

Deputy Minster for Electric Power U Aye Kyaw met with the district/township officers and staff at the Thandwe Electrical Engineer Office in Rakhine State on 26th February.

In the meeting, the Deputy Minister heard report on electricity distribution and operation in the townships of Thandwe district. In his response, he stressed that the power distribution system is set to be managed by pre-calculating the power needs in the future.

The Deputy Minister also called on concerned officials and staff for power loss, systematic collection of electricity bill, power outage reduction, work safety and importance of cooperation for security measures before coordinating the matters presented. 

After the meeting, the Deputy Minister inspected the 66/11 KV 20 MVA Thandwe (Nan Chaung) sub power station which distributes power to Thandwe Township and surrounding areas. He called for efforts to carry out regular maintenance of the sub power station.
