Electricity Distribution: Union Minister Attends Meeting For Yangon Region

Union Minister U Thaung Han for the Ministry of Electric Power and Ministry of Energy attended a coordination meeting on electricity distribution in Yangon Region.

In the meeting at the Yangon Region Government Office on Wednesday, the Union Minister highlighted efforts for more generation of electricity through hydropower, renewable energy and many other available sources, and expansion of transmission and distribution lines as well as to reduce power blackout and loss.

He called on attendees to complete the projects in Yangon Region in a timely manner and collect electricity bill. Also, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein pledged to provide necessary assistance including fund for the ministries. Concerned officials also discussed electricity distribution, bill collection and implementation of projects in Yangon Region.
