Efforts for Youth: Preparation for International Youth Day Ceremony

Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo addressed a meeting in Dawei on August 3 with youth representatives and young MSME entrepreneurs.

These representatives are set to attend the 2026 International Youth Day ceremony to be held in Nay Pyi Taw on August 12. In the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that youth are the "lifeblood" and "future" of a country, an organization, or a system. He emphasized that young people must continuously learn and acquire modern technologies, knowledge, and essential soft and hard skills to keep pace with changing times, while striving to become responsible and accountable role models.

He noted that attending the International Youth Day ceremony allows delegates to meet with peers from various regions and states to exchange ideas, perspectives, knowledge, and expertise. He encouraged the youth representatives to combine their existing potential with the experiences and insights gained from the event, transforming them into genuine capability to become reliable, valued, and good leaders for the nation and its people.

Following that, the Minister for Social Affairs presented the status of preparations for attending International Youth Day. Next, the youth delegates and young MSME entrepreneurs discussed and presented local products from the region that will be displayed at the MSME exhibition, along with their current implementation status. And, the Chief Minister coordinated and fulfilled the necessary requirements.
