A press briefing for the upcoming 18th Anniversary of the Fundraising Music Concert of Myanmar Physically Handicapped Association (MPHA) was held in Yangon on Monday.
The fundraising event has been started since 2017, and it's now become the fourth time.
The concert will also encourage Persons with Disabilities to get equal rights and motivation so that they can participate in this kind of activity.
Chairman, Myanmar Physically Handicapped Association, Myat Oo said “The concert will include Myanmar Traditional Songs and also studio singers will perform and support the concert. Tickets Price, ranged from 10,000 and 20,000 kyats will be available at MPHA office.”
The event is to know widely about the concert to the donors, members of MPHA and the audience.
Myanmar Artistes who live in America together with Artistes in Myanmar have been providing necessities and fundraisings for this concert.
Donor, San Francisco Sein Hlaing (Bago) said “Our donors from America started the donation activities to the Persons with Disabilities in cooperation with Dr. Khaing Myint from L.A, MPHA's General Secretary U Aye Ko Ko started from 2017 as part of the charity work. We accept the assistances through online media such as Facebook and other social media. We received USD 5,000 from San Francisco and USD 4,000 from L.A. We're so glad to participate in the donation activity. This is such a great event.”
Phyu Phyu Hlaing said “Comparing to the America, Persons with Disabilities in Myanmar have got less rights. In US, they get full rights. That's why, I want to donate more assistances to the Persons with Disabilities as much as I can. Cash assistances become more and more multiplying comparing to the last years. I'm also want to encourage the donors from Myanmar to participate and donate more and more in the coming years.”
The concert will be held at International Business Center (IBC) in Yangon on 22nd of February.
