Educational Affairs: To Open More Bachelor of Education Degree Courses

A meeting was held on Thursday for opening of more Bachelor of Education Degree courses for teachers from basic education department without such degree.

In the meeting at the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Minister Dr. Nyunt Pe said that there is less opportunity for teachers from basic education department to attend the Bachelor of Education Degree course as only 3,000 trainees are accepted for the Degree course in Yangon and Sagaing every year.

If the teachers from the basic education department get more opportunities to attend the course, they will sharpen their teaching skills, he added.

Also, Deputy minister Dr. Zaw Myint and U Zaw Win and attendees held discussions on expansion of Bachelor of Education Degree course. After the discussions, the Union Minister called for efforts for practical research to improve the country’s economy.
