Drugs Seizures: Thousands of stimulant tablets & opium seized

Illegal drugs were seized in Sagaing Region, Tanintharyi Region, Shan State and Mandalay Region.

In areas of Tamu Township, Myeik Township, Lashio Township and Amarapura Township, over 28,000 stimulant tablets and 13 kilograms of opium were seized.

4 men and a woman were arrested along with the seizures. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken against the suspects in line with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
