The stimulant tablets worth 2.25 billion kyats were arrested in Tharsi Township, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on tip-off, the combined forces including the members of Anti-Narcotics Task Force inspected FUSO 12-wheelers driven by Wai Phyo Kyaw (a) A Nge Lay assisted by Hsan Win and FUSO 6-wheelers driven by Wunna Kyaw (a) Dwe Nge from Taunggyi to Tharsi at KyweTatSon combined check post on Taunggyi-Tharsi Road in Tharsi Township, Mandalay Region at 2 p.m. on January 29. The search turned out a total of 1.5 million stimulant tablets worth 2.25 billion Kyats including 700,000 in FUSO 12-wheelers and 800,000 in FUSO 6-wheelers.
According to the investigation, those drugs were carried from Shan State (South) to Mandalay Region. In connection with this case, three suspects were taken actions and investigation is underway to expose those who committed the crime.
