Drugs seized: Drugs seized in Tachileik and Lashio

On the morning of June 10, a combined forces composed of members from the Anti-Narcotic Task Force seized 60 kilograms of Ice (methamphetamine), with a local value of 480 million kyats, from a TOYOTA CROWN vehicle driven by Aik Shan Phuu at the U Tun Aung Bridge near Swut Hsai village, in Tachileik Township. Consequently, Aik Shan Phu (38) has been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.

Similarly, on Kyar Ni Street, Area (10) of Ward (3), in Lashio Township, the combined forces seized 30,000 stimulant tablets (with a local value of 15 million kyats) from Thein Soe Aung (aka) Ar Wai အားဝေ. A follow-up investigation led to the home of the supplier, Law Wu (aka) Li Ming Chein , on Khaing Shwe War Street, Area (20), Ward (7) in Lashio. Inside the bedroom of his home, the task force found an additional 20,800 stimulant tablets (local value of 10.4 million kyats) and 110 grams of heroin contained in plastic soap dishes (local value of 2.2 million kyats).

It is reported that both Thein Soe Aung (aka) Ar Wai and Law Wu (a) Li Ming Htein have been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
