Drug Seizure: 460 Million Kyats Worth Narcotic Drugs Seized

A total of 460 million Kyats worth of narcotic drugs were seized in Sintkaing Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Myanmar Police Force.  

A combine team of members of the Anti-Drug Task Force raided the poultry farm of Mai Yi Tun (a) Ar Yan in Kone Ni Village, Sint Kaing Township at 4 p.m. on October 9. A search of the poultry farm turned up 460 million Kyats worth 18.15 Kilos of Heroin put in 1,815 soap boxes, 6,000 stimulant tablets and two motorbikes.

According to the investigation, drugs were transported from Hsipaw Township, northern Shan State to Sint Kaing Township, Mandalay Region. The suspects including Mai Yi Tun (a) Ar Yan plus five are charged under the Law and investigations are underway to capture the rest of the suspects according to Myanmar Police Force.
