Disease Prevention: Face Shield, Masks And Thermometers To Be Provided To Schools

Face shield , masks and thermometers will be provided to schools in Pathein  district of Ayeyawady region for 2020-2021 academic year.

There are seven townships in Pathein District in which 1,085 public schools, monastic schools and private schools. There are over 300,000 students and 11,794 of teachers and service personnel.  To prevent COVID-19 disease, two masks and a face shield will be provided to each student and teacher when opening the schools. Thermometers will be provided to the schools depending on the numbers of the students.

Education Officer, Pathein District, Dr. Su Su Hlaing said “We mainly target the facts that how to get learning chance by preventing the COVID-19. We get permission to allocate masks, face shields and thermometers to schools in Pathein District. For 2020-2021 academic year, the text books and exercise books have been distributed free to the basic education schools and monastic schools.”

According to the current instruction of the Ministry of Education, the high school level classes will be opened on 21st July and the school enrollment week for high school level classes has been set from 13th to 17th of July.
