Discussion for Regional Development: Union Defence Minister meets staff in Sagaing Region

SAC member Union Minis­ter for Defence General Mya Tun Oo, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Ir­rigation Dr Aung Gyi and party visited a combined office in Kalay Sunday morning and met township level departmen­tal officials and staff.

At the meeting, the Union Minister gave a speech. Chairman of Kalay Dis­trict Administration Body U Kyaw Swa Tun reported on the situation in the area on which the Union Minister coordinated essentials.

Then, the Union Minister provided foodstuff for staff at district and township levels through the chairmen of the District Administration Body and Township Administration Body.

After that, the Union Min­ister and party visited the local military station in Kalay Town­ship and met servicemen and family members at the station hall. The Union Minister made necessary instructions. They also visited Sagaing Region Government Office in Monywa and met with the departmental officials.

Officials reported region­al development, rule of law and regional security measures, conditions of the agricultural and livestock sectors, progress of COVID-19 vaccination and disease control, opening of basic education schools, and implementation of Pankhin project on which the Union Minister at­tended to the needs.

Then, the Union Minister presented gifts to the depart­mental officials on behalf of the departments and cordially greeted town elders at Chind­win Yeiktha Hall in Monywa.
