Disaster Response : Flood mitigation measures and relief supplies

In an effort for regional development in Kayah State, Chief Minister U Ant Maw, along with the officials, inspected water vacuuming process in low-lying areas of Loikaw Township on August 13th.

Flood water vacuuming process is being carried out at Dawnoku  and Min Su  wards. The Chief Minister instructed for timely completion of flood water vacuuming process, mosquito control works, better drainage system and cleaning of bushes. 

The Chief Minister and officials later met with the flood-affected households, gave words of encouragement, and provided basic foodstuff. 146 households from Dawnoku  and Min Su  wards were affected by the flood.
