






Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, accompanied by responsible officials, on June 2, visited the prayer hall of Maha Dhammikarama Ohntaw Pariyatti Sarthintaik in Pyinmana Township, Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw.
There, they paid homage to the monks and nuns who were sitting for the Government Dhammācariya Examination, donated 1 million kyats in support of the examination center and supplicated religious affairs. The Sayadawgyis expressed their appreciation for the arrangements made to ensure that examinees could take the exam peacefully and comfortably at the Dhammācariya Examination Centers in Nay Pyi Taw.
After that, the Union Minister paid respects to the examinee monks. For this year’s 2025 Government Dhammācariya Examination, a total of 122 candidates including121 monks and 1 nun were registered at the Pyinmana exam center, with 92 monks sitting for the exam on this day.
Later, Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin, together with Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mya Zan and other officials, inspected the ongoing restoration work at the Upadasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw, which was damaged by the Mandalay earthquake.
The restoration includes repairs to the main pagoda, its platform, materials, and surrounding structures. The Union Minister donated 3.708 kyats to members of the Army (Army, Navy, and Air Force) and the Myanmar Police Force who are volunteering in the restoration efforts at Upadasanti Pagoda.
Then, the Union Minister held a coordination meeting with the Upadasanti Pagoda Restoration Committee and the Pagoda Trustees Board, where he provided guidance on the ongoing and upcoming tasks related to the restoration.
