Devt. of Border Areas: Union Minister Inspected Regional Development Works

The Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung visited Shan State Development Supervisory Office in Taunggyi in the afternoon on June 11, presented staff uniforms, school uniforms and stationaries for the students and inspected staff housing and small scale plantation and livestock breeding.

In the morning on June 12, the union minister attended the ceremony of presenting school uniforms and stationaries for the students studying at the basic education schools in Hopone Township held at the administration office of Pa-Oh Self-Administration Zone, gave a remark at the ceremony and provided school unifirms and stationaries to the respected school principals.

Then, the union minister inspected the road and bridges construction works in Hopone and Taunggyi and Hsi Hsaing Townships and attended the opening ceremony of new tar road in Hse Hsaing Township and gave a remark at the ceremony. Then, the union minister provided school uniforms and stationaries for the students studying at sub basic education middle school (Pin Lon Kha), opened the road section by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and inspected along the road.

During the trip, the union minister and party visited border ethnic youth development training school and women vocational training school in Hsaikkhaung Town, met with the staff and students, provided school uniforms and stationaries and inspected the dormitory, mess hall, library and training hall of the training school, it’s learnt.
