The Kachin State Government launched a State Economic Promotion Fund to boost winter crop and livestock production in the state. On Friday, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and senior officials conducted field inspections in village-tracts across Moe Gaung Township.

They first visited MaYan Village and oversaw a newly constructed five-furlong concrete road. The Chief Minister heard updates on the project's progress and coordinated further infrastructure needs for the village and manufacturing road networks expansion.

The Chief Minister and party then inspected agricultural fields in Nankhwin Village, and observed thriving peanut fields alongside double-cropped soybeans, sunflowers as well as mixed-cropped okra, watermelon and vegetables. The Chief Minister also coordinated measures to improve market access and ensure adequate irrigation for monsoon paddy and double cropping. At LayThar Kone Village, they inspected pig and dairy farm expansions, Napier grass cultivation for cattle feed and a new oil mill setup.

The Chief Minister also fulfilled the needs for livestock products and equipment provision for the farmers. The Chief Minister and party then proceeded to YaeTwin Village and inspected an ongoing mobile solar water pump, thriving winter oil crops and a 3,000-chicken poultry farm.

Upon the arrival at TaungNi village tract, they observed the use of Sunn Hemp to improve soil quality and enhance monsoon paddy yields at Kyunkone East field. In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and party inspected home garden vegetable crops and coordinated the needs to provide a solar water system to ensure sufficient water for individual vegetable growers.

At the Nammati township hall, they met with the temporarily displaced families who fled due to the terrorist attacks. The Chief Minister offered words of encouragement and assured support in providing food, accommodation and safe shelter before the monsoon.

The Chief Minister and party then distributed 234 bags of rice, 234 viss of oil and dried noodles to displaced families of Nyaungtaw and LanKhwa Villages and 400 million kyats for the construction of a concrete bridge in KyaInn (2) Village. The Chief Minister also heard reports of the displaced families and provided 50 million kyats for road construction.
