





Vice-Chairman 1 of Rakhine State Stability, Peace and Development Work Coordination Committee Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing, together with the Head of Diplomatic Missions from ASEAN member states and neighbouring countries China, India and Bangladesh, diplomats and representatives from AHA Center visited One Stop Women Support Center (OSWSC) in Sittwe, and encouraged the women and children at the center.
They later proceeded to the vocational training school and inspected the opening of Social Cohesion (Multiplier) course. They also viewed the basic sewing training course and encouraged the trainees who are the local natives and from IDP camps.
They then left for Kyauk Phyu and visited Kyauktalone IDP Camp. In meeting with the departmental personnel and families from the camp, the officials explained the resettlement process.
The Union Minister also presented family kits for 375 families from the camp as well as school uniforms for the students of IDP Camp Post-primary school. Moreover, over 10 million kyats cash assistance were provided for 7 families who need houses at the IDP camp that will be resettled as well as medical equipment for the dispensary of the camp.
The Union Minister and party later visited KyaukPhyu natural-gas powered power plant and inspected the work process. On arrival at Thetkaepyin IPD Camp, they inspected the process of issuing NVC card. They then arrived at Kaladan multi-purpose project and heard reports on the project. They also viewed round the jetty.
