Development Projects: Handover of local development projects in Chin State

The ceremony to hand over the Local project objectives of Chin State for 2025-2026 fiscal year was held at the meeting hall of the State General Administration Department Office, in Hakha on April 24th.

Chairman of the Chin State Planning Commission, Chief Minister Dr. Vung Suan Thang, and officials attended the ceremony. The Chief Minister said that the Chin State Local Planning Law for the 2025-2026 fiscal year is being drafted which it aims to develop the socio-economic life of the people and achieve people-centered and inclusive long-term development for the prosperity and food security in Chin State.

He added that this law was enacted as the State Administration Council Law No. (11/2025) on 31st March, 2025, and this law aims to increase Chin State's GDP growth by 0.5 percent. He said that the event was held to ensure that the project's objectives were met and exceeded the target, and that it would be carried out systematically in accordance with tender procedures.

He emphasized that the administrative bodies must systematically formulate plans and push for the achievement and exceeding of local planning goals. Then, the Secretary of the State Planning and Implementation Committee, Head of the State Planning Department explained and discussed the Local Planning Law for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Afterwards, the Chief Minister presented the project plans to the concerned officials.
