Development Projects: Chief Minister tours in Myeik

Chief Minister of Tanintharyi Region U Zaw Naing Oo on Thursday inspected development projects in Myeik. He reviewed cleaning and upgrade works at the historic Kan Taw Mingalar Lake, drainage improvement efforts along local waterways, and community-supported drainage maintenance projects.

The Chief Minister also visited No.1 Basic Education High School where students were being issued National Registration Cards and UID number under the Lamin Project and handed the completed cards to students. Later, he inspected solar and power-generation projects being developed by Pentro & Trans Co., Ltd., and instructed officials to accelerate a planned 16-MW HFO power project to help ensure a more reliable electricity supply and reduce power costs in Myeik.
