Depression: Low pressure intensified into Depression

According to the observations at (10:30) hrs Myanmar Standard Time on 3rd March, 2022, the low pressure area over South Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved to North-Northwest and intensified into a Depression.

It is centered at about (775) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island, (890) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun, (420) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Nagapattinam of India, (480) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Puducherry and (520) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Chennai. It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Depression is coded yellow stage.

Depression is located at Latitude (5.3) degree North and Longitude (84.0) degree East, centre pressure of Depression is (1004) hectopascal and maximum wind speed near the center is (32) miles per hour at (10:30) hrs MST today.

The Depression is forecast to move Northwest wards and may intensity into a Deep Depression may move towards Tamil Nadu north coast, India through Sri Lanka coast during next (48)hrs.
