Dengue Prevention: Health awareness campaign in Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana

A dengue prevention and awareness program was held at No.2 Basic Education High School in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

The event focused on preventing dengue fever through community participation. Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Kan Myint Than attended the event and delivered a speech, stressing that dengue is a serious infectious disease that can affect people of all ages and can be life-threatening.

He called for regular community action such as removing stagnant water, covering water containers, and using larvicide chemicals to control mosquito breeding. Health officials presented reports on dengue cases and prevention plans in Nay Pyi Taw for 2026.

The Chairman later provided learning materials to students and distributed mosquito nets. He also inspected awareness displays and visited nearby areas where dengue prevention activities were being carried out.
