Demonstration and Trial of MEVM: MGY Region CM observed the trial voting

The Union Election Commission (UEC) is making arrangements for the use of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machines (MEVM) in the upcoming multi-party democratic general election. In preparation, a demonstration and hands-on trial of the MEVM was held at the assembly hall of the General Administration Department in Magway Township in the morning on May 3. The event was observed and inspected by the Magway Region Chief Minister and Region Ministers.

During the event, member of Union Election Commission (UEC) U Aung Lwin Oo, and Deputy Director-General of UEC office U Nyi Nyi Lwin, provided detailed explanations regarding the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM).

Following the presentation, approximately 500 invited guests participated in a hands-on trial of the voting machines. The Chief Minister and responsible officials from the region government observed and inspected the practical session.

It has been reported that training sessions on the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM), including demonstrations and practical trials, will be conducted in the Magway Region from June 2nd to June 4th.
