A parade of military bands took place in Sevastopol, Crimea, on Sunday as part of the celebrations marking Russia Day.

The Russian Federation's national day was celebrated across the country with various events and festivities.

The holiday marks Russia's declaration of state sovereignty from the Soviet Union on June 12, 1990. Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, sparking a conflict in the east of Ukraine.
