Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports One New Covid-19 Cases At 8:00 A.M. On 15th June

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday reported one new COVID-19 case after testing 966 lab specimens as the second batch.

The new confirmed patient is a returnee from Bangladesh. He is a resident of Maungtaw Township of Rakhine State. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 291 with 6 deaths.

While 200 patients have recovered from the disease, 186 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, Russian Federation, India, the United Kingdom, Peru, Spain, Chile, Italy, Islamist Republic of Iran, Germany and Turkey according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 3:50pm CEST, 22th June 2020, there have been over 8.8 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 465,740 deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
