Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports No New Covid-19 Cases At 8:00 A.M. On 17th June

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday reported no new COVID-19 case after testing 1142 lab specimens as the second batch.

COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 262 with 6 deaths. While 179 patients have recovered from the disease, 162 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, Russian Federation, India, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Peru, Islamist Republic of Iran, Germany, Turkey and Chile according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 1:57pm CEST, 16th June 2020, there have been over 7.9 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 434,796 deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
