Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports 4 New Covid-19 Cases At 7:30 A.M. On 1st Of June

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday reported one new COVID-19 case after testing 1905 lab specimens. The new confirmed patient is a returnee from Bangladesh. He is a resident of Maungtaw Township of Rakhine State.

COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 234 with 6 deaths. While 145 patients have recovered from the disease, 132 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, India, Germany, Peru, Turkey, Islamist Republic of Iran and France according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 2:35pm CEST, 3rd June 2020, there have been over 6.2 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including  379,941 deaths, reported to WHO. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. 

Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
