COVID-19 Update: 96 New Cases reported at 8 p.m. on June 5

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 96 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Saturday after testing 1,484 lab specimens within 24 hours with 2 new deaths and 34 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged from hospitals on the 5th of June.

COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 144,253 with 3,223 deaths and 132, 449 COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospital until 8 p.m. on the 5th of June.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America with over 32.99 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, France, Turkey, the Russian Federation, The United Kingdom, Italy, Argentina and Germany according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 3:27 p.m. CEST on 5th of June 2021, there have been over 172.24 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 3.70 million deaths, reported to WHO.
