COVID-19 Update: 3,381 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On February 23

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 3,381 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 31,330 patients within 24 hours.

5 patients have died due to the disease while 1,029 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 575,508 with 19,349 deaths and 527,367 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Italy and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:42pm CET, 23 February 2022, there have been over 426 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.899 million deaths.
